Wednesday 17th July – a day out in the Upper Coquet Valley to look at the geology and search for semi-precious minerals and fossils. Visiting several sites, the first one involving a walk of about 2.5 miles in total, the others very close to the roadside.
Add an extra dimension to walking in the cheviots and surrounding area by being able to identify the landforms and discover where to look for fossils and semi precious minerals such as amethyst, agate, jasper, garnetand others.
